How the stopwatch works
Jul 05, 2020

When the rim rotates, the sensor captures the information brought by the induction magnet, and transmits it to the computer through the sensing line. The computer computer processes this and calculates the speed, mileage and other information.

In layman”s terms: a magnet-like thing is installed on the front wheel, and a sensor is installed on the front fork. When the wheel rotates, the magnet will pass by the sensor once, and the computer will count one revolution. With good wheel parameters, the speed and distance will be calculated by the stopwatch.

Simply put: The working principle is to measure the speed by multiplying the wheel speed by the circumference of the wheel during riding.
